Ferries from Spain to Algeria: timetables and services

Traveling from Spain to Algeria has never been so easy! The European country is connected with 3 ports of Algeria: Ghazaouet, Oran and Mostaganem. There are at least 2 weekly departures from a Spanish port to Algeria.

Ferry from Valencia to Algeria

Valencia is connected to the port of Mostaganem in Algeria. The route is operated by Balearia and there is at least 1 crossing per week. The trip takes around 14.5 hours and ticket prices start from as little as €127 per person.

On the ferry from Valencia to Mostaganem, it is possible to travel with a vehicle. To make your trip comfortable, the on board services include several bars where you can buy food, a playground, swimming pool, TVs with a wide range of entertainment options, a store and wifi. Ferries from Spain to Morocco: schedules and services

Ferries to Tangier

If you want to go to Tangier you have several options, you can travel by ferry to Tangier Ville from Tarifa or to Tangier Med from Algeciras or Gibraltar. These routes are operated by Trasmediterranea, Balearia, FRS Iberia DFDS and Africa Morocco Link.

The first crossing takes about 1 hour and has at least 5 daily departures, although this number usually increases considerably in summer. The price of the crossing varies between €38 and €56. And you can travel with a vehicle and/or pet. On-board services include bars, outdoor areas and wifi.

The ferry from Algeciras to Tangier Med takes 1.5 hours on the fast-ferries. There are about 20 daily crossings throughout the year. The cheapest ticket price is €30. It is possible to travel with different types of vehicles as well as with pets. These ferries also have bars, outdoor areas and wifi on board.

The Gibraltar to Tangier Med ferry route also takes approximately 1.5 hours. There is 1 weekly departure all year round, and the price is around €37 per person. You can travel with a vehicle, with bicycles and/or pets. The ferry has wifi, cafeteria, terrace and mosque among other services.

Ferries to Al Hoceima

Traveling by ferry from Motril to Al Hoceima is also an option. The route takes about 4 hours and is operated by Naviera Armas. At the moment there are no confirmed departures for this year.

Ferries to Nador

To travel to Nador, you can go by ferry from Barcelona, Motril or Almeria. The ferry companies operating these crossings are GNV, Balearia and Naviera Armas.

The ferry crossing from Barcelona to Nador takes about 28 hours and is operated by GNV. Tickets start at €85 and there is at least 1 departure per week. On board you have several restaurants, a playground, wifi and you can choose to travel in different types of cabins or seats. In addition, it is possible to take a vehicle and/or pet with you.

You can also take a ferry from Motril to Nador. The trip takes about 4 hours and is operated by Naviera Armas. For now there are no confirmed departures for 2023.

The ferry from Almeria to Nador takes between 5 and 8 hours and there are departures almost daily. The price of the trip starts at €52 and it is possible to travel with a vehicle and/or pet. Onboard services include wifi, bars, children's area, terrace and on some ferries a swimming pool.

Ferries from Spain to Ceuta and Melilla: timetables and services
