• SNAV, Seremar and Alilauro allow passengers to bring on board a single piece of hand luggage with a maximum size of 50x35x20 cm and a weight not exceeding 9 kg. For a small extra bag, you usually have to pay an additional €5. 
• Caremar allows one piece of luggage of 20 kg (for ferry travel) or 10 kg (for hydrofoil travel) with maximum dimensions of 50x40x20 cm.

Tip: please note that you may be charged an extra fee for additional baggage or bags larger than those indicated by the companies.

Accessibility

Passengers with reduced mobility can travel from Sorrento to Capri, but available assistance and facilities depend on the vessel and operator. Vessels usually have dedicated seats for passengers with reduced mobility and accessible toilets, but availability depends on the vessel operating the route on the day of travel.

Passengers who need special assistance are recommended to contact the company at least 48 hr before departure.

Traveling with pets

Pets are welcome on ferries traveling to Capri from Sorrento. You just need to include your pet in your booking and pay an additional fee of at least €5.

Where to take the ferry from Sorrento to Capri

Ferries to Capri depart from the port of Marina Piccola, only a few steps from the historic center of Sorrento.

You can reach the port on foot from Piazza Tasso, or by bus. There is also an elevator that connects the Villa Comunale of Sorrento with the port.
