Onboard services
You can reach Sorrento by ferry and hydrofoil. Onboard services will depend on the type of vessel and the company you are traveling with.
Fast ferries and hydrofoils are ideal for those who want to save travel time. Although vehicles are usually not allowed on board, the vessels are air-conditioned and have comfortable seating. There are no cabins on any ferries to Sorrento, given the short duration of the crossing, but seating options are usually included in the ticket fare. On board, you will usually find cafes offering a bite to eat or a drink.
Each company has its own baggage policy. SNAV and Alilauro Gruson, for example, allow passengers to carry 1 piece of baggage with a maximum size of 50x35x20 cm and a weight of 9 kg. On NLG, the limit is 50x30x15 cm and 5 kg. If you have larger or additional baggage, a surcharge may apply.
If you are traveling with a pet, you can include it in your booking for a small fee. The rules for transporting pets vary from company to company. We therefore advise you to check the requirements in advance.
