Where to take the ferry from Sorrento to Positano

Ferries and hydrofoils to Positano depart from the port of Marina Piccola, which is located close to Sorrento’s historical center. There, you can find bars, restaurants, shops and several paid parking lots for long or short-term stays.

You can reach the port of Marina Piccola by car, train or bus. Alternatively, you can take the Circumvesuviana railway line from Naples and arrive in Sorrento in about 1 hr.

  • NLG allows suitcases, travel bags and backpacks with maximum dimensions of 50x30x15cm and a weight that must not exceed 5kg.
  • With Alilauro, you can bring a single piece of luggage weighing less than 9kg and with a maximum size of 50x35x20cm.
  • Positano Jet considers trolley bags and all types of suitcases to be luggage, regardless of weight and size, with an additional fee of €2. Handbags and backpacks are free of charge.
  • On the ferries of Seremar, passengers are allowed to bring baggage with maximum dimensions of 50x30x15cm and a maximum weight of 10kg on conventional ferries and 5kg on high-speed ferries.

Reminder: for additional luggage and luggage that exceeds the proposed size/weight, companies apply an extra boarding fee. 

Cabins

Given the short duration of the Sorrento - Positano ferry ride, there are no cabins available on the ships. Onboard seating is included in the ticket price.
