You have planned your trip, booked your ferry and prepared for your holiday on the islands. But what happens if you wish to change your ticket? You can find all the information on modifying your booking here.
How can I change my ferry ticket?September 2, 2020
*** Please note that ticket modification requests cannot be made via phone. Please use the contact form on our website to request a ticket change. ***
If you would like to change your ticket, you are fully covered by the ticket cancellation and modification policy of the ferry company you booked the ticket with. Ferryhopper is obligated to follow the ferry companies’ policies and rules regarding ticket changes. When you change your ticket, a modification fee of 6€ (euros) per booking is applied by Ferryhopper. The process involves cancelling and rebooking the tickets, hence a cancellation fee may also be applied by the ferry company according to its policy.
Please note that online requests for ticket changes can only be processed during business hours. According to the rules of the ferry operators, you must make your request at least 3 days (72 hours) before the scheduled departure.
Ferryhopper’s business hours are: weekdays 09.00 - 18.00 and Saturday 09.00 - 14.00 (EEST).
In case you would like your request to be processed outside our working hours and your departure is coming up, we kindly ask that you visit a local travel agency that collaborates with the ferry company you are traveling with and they will be able to process your request. You can find the contact details of the local travel agencies in your booking confirmation email. If you contact us in under 72 hours before your scheduled departure, we will do our best to help, but, unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that there will be enough time to process your request.
*** Important note: If you have already picked up your ferry tickets from a collection point, the tickets have to be returned in order for your modification request to be processed. You can return your tickets either to our offices or to a travel agency that collaborates with the ferry company you are traveling with. ***
Can I convert my ferry ticket to an open ticket?July 16, 2020
You can convert your ticket to an open ticket by making a request through the ‘My Booking’ section on Ferryhopper’s website.
Open date tickets are valid for 1 year from your initial departure date and only for the same ferry route and the same company as the tickets you had originally booked. Please note that if the ferry company does not offer an e-ticket option, you will have to pick up your paper tickets from our offices in the center of Athens or have them delivered to you via courier. It is also important to mention that open tickets are usually non-refundable in case of cancellation.
Can I request a ticket change on behalf of another passenger?July 16, 2020
According to the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), if you wish to change a ticket on behalf of another passenger, you must contact us from the same email address or phone number used for the booking. Ferryhopper is obligated to comply with this regulation, in order to ensure the safety of your personal data. Therefore, if you don’t contact us from the same email address or phone number, we will not be able to process your request. We are committed to guaranteeing our customers’ privacy.
In case the email address or phone number used during the booking is not available anymore, we may require additional information in order to verify your identity and proceed with your request. We may also ask for additional information if you would like to change the email address or phone number you have provided.
