Note: high-speed vessels do not offer unassigned deck seating, as passengers must remain indoors while traveling at high speeds.

Numbered seats

Numbered (or airplane-type) seats are reserved, individual seats located in quiet, air-conditioned indoor lounges. This is the standard economy option on all high-speed catamarans (starting at around €52.50 to €69.70) and is available as an affordable upgrade on conventional ships (usually starting around €40).

Business class and VIP seats

For a more premium experience, you can upgrade to a Business or VIP lounge ticket, with prices ranging between €53 and €95, depending on the operator and vessel type. This option grants you access to an exclusive, much quieter section of the ship. These lounges feature wider, more comfortable reclining seats, extra legroom, and a calmer atmosphere. Many vessels also provide shared or individual power outlets in these areas.

Luggage

Greek ferry companies are generally quite flexible with luggage size and weight:

• Fast Ferries has no specific size or weight limit, allowing you to bring on board as many items as you can carry by yourself.
• Golden Star Ferries and Seajets allow each passenger to carry up to 50 kg of luggage free of charge. 

You can keep your luggage next to you or store your bags and suitcases in the designated luggage area on the ferry to Mykonos.

Good to know: bear in mind that there is no check-in procedure for luggage items.

Can I travel with my pet?

On Rafina - Mykonos ferries, you can travel with your pet free of charge as long as you register them when booking your tickets. Bear in mind that each ferry company has its own pet policy.

Small pets (usually under 10 kg) must remain inside their carrier, while larger pets can travel safely inside the vessel's kennels. Pets are generally not allowed in internal common areas, such as standard passenger lounges and indoor bars.

You can catch the ferry to Mykonos from the port of Rafina in Athens. The port of Rafina is located approximately 33 km east of the city center of Athens and 26 km from Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos.

You can get to the port of Rafina by car, taxi, as well as intercity bus (KTEL) from downtown Athens and the airport.
