  • By train: Livorno Centrale railway station is about 3 km from the ferry terminals. You can reach the port in around 10-15 min by taxi or local bus.
  • By bus: local buses regularly connect Livorno train station and the city center with the port area and Stazione Marittima.
  • By plane: the nearest airport is Pisa International Airport Galileo Galilei, located about 25 km from Livorno. From there, you can continue to the port by train, shuttle bus or taxi.

Where does the ferry arrive in Sardinia?

Ferries from Livorno reach the ports of Olbia and Golfo Aranci, both on the north-east coast of Sardinia and gateways to the beautiful Costa Smeralda.

  • Olbia: It's one of the most important ports of Sardinia, just a few minutes walk from the city center and about 15 km from the airport of Olbia Costa Smeralda. It can be easily reached by bus (lines 2, 9 and 10) or taxi.
  • Golfo Aranci: This is a much smaller port, just a few kilometres from Olbia and the Costa Smeralda. It's a short walk from the town centre and is well connected to the rest of the island by train.
