Ferry from Paros to Santorini

Traveling from Paros to Santorini by ferry is easy, comfortable and you can take advantage of lower-cost ferry tickets thanks to available discounts. Ferry companies offer discounts up to 50% to certain passenger categories, such as:

• Children from 5 to 10 years old
• Students (Greek public universities and ISIC card holders)
• People with disabilities and their accompanying persons

Where to take the ferry from Paros to Santorini

You can catch the ferry to Santorini from the port of Parikia in Paros. The port is quite small, yet quite busy in the summer.

There is 1 terminal for all ferries to Santorini, Athens and more islands. The port of Parikia is located in the island's capital, close to many restaurants, cafés and services.

You can get to the port of Parikia on foot if you’re staying in the capital, or by taxi and bus from Naoussa, the airport and several major villages. The distance between Naoussa and the port of Parikia is 10 km.

Where does the ferry arrive in Santorini?

The ferries from Paros arrive at the port of Athinios in Santorini. Athinios is located in the southwestern side of the island. It’s about 8 km south of the capital town of Fira and 9 km from Santorini’s airport.

There are taxis and public buses that offer services to the port. Make sure to book your ride in advance, especially in the summer months.

The ferry connection between Paros and Santorini is served by:

• Blue Star Ferries, with conventional ferries, taking between 3 hr 5 min and 4 hr 25 min
• Golden Star Ferries, with high-speed catamarans, with a minimum travel time of just under 2 hr
• Seajets, with high-speed catamarans and conventional ferries that need 1 hr 30 min to about 4 hr 45 min

The fastest way to travel between the two islands is by high-speed catamaran, with crossings taking 1 hr 30 min. However, not all high-speed vessels can accommodate vehicles. Alternatively, conventional ferries take at least 3 hr to reach Santorini, but they usually offer cabins, larger vehicle decks and lower ticket prices.
