The best time to book ferry tickets to Formentera depends on when you’re planning to travel.

Summer

For trips during the summer high season (June to September), it’s recommended to book you ferry tickets at least 1-2 months in advance, as ferries from Ibiza fill up quickly due to high demand and limited availability.

Shoulder months

If you’re traveling in the shoulder months (April/May and September/October), you can usually find good availability 1-2 weeks before your trip. However, booking early still gives you more flexibility in terms of departure times and ferry types.

Off-season

Arrival

• By bus: Line L1 connects La Savina with Sant Francesc Xavier, Sant Ferran and Es Pujols, while Line L2 runs between La Savina, Sant Francesc Xavier and La Mola. Travel time to Sant Francesc Xavier is about 15 min.
• By car or taxi: a ride from Sant Francesc Xavier takes around 10 min, while Es Pujols is about 15 min away. Taxis are available year-round, with more vehicles operating during peak season
• By bicycle or on foot: if you’re staying in La Savina itself, you can reach the ferry terminal in just a few minutes.
