Cabins are not available on ferries from Formentera to Dénia, as all the ferries operate the crossing only during the day.

How much luggage is allowed on the ferries?

Baleària has no weight limit for luggage as long as you can carry and handle it on your own. Bear in mind that you do not need to check in your luggage. The ferries also have lockers that are accessible throughout the journey.

Depending on your pet’s size and your preferences, you can choose between 2 types of accommodation:

• Calm kennels: protected, well-ventilated spaces located on deck or in the garage area. During the crossing, you can track your pet in real time thanks to the onboard cameras, accessible from your smartphone. Price: €10 (pets under 10 kg) or €20 (pets over 10 kg).
• Pet-friendly seat: available for pets weighing under 8 kg, which travel in their carrier either on the passenger’s lap or under the seat. Price: from €25.

Dogs can also access designated pet areas during the crossing, but they must be kept on a leash and wear a muzzle.

Where to take the ferry from Formentera to Dénia ?

The ferry from Formentera departs from La Savina Port, located on the island’s northern coast. It’s about 3.5 km from the capital, Sant Francesc Xavier, and well-connected by bus to other villages and beaches. The port features a passenger terminal and a café with panoramic sea views.

How to get to the port of Formentera?

• On foot: if you're staying in the center of La Savina, the port is just a short walk away. Most accommodations are within easy reach of the terminal.
• By car or scooter: follow signs for La Savina. Parking is available near the port, though spaces can fill up quickly during peak season. If you're returning a rental vehicle, most rental agencies are located close to the port terminal.
• By bus: Formentera's local bus network connects the island's main towns, including Es Pujols, Sant Ferran and La Mola, to La Savina port. Services run regularly during the summer months, with reduced schedules in the off-season.
• By taxi: taxis are readily available across the island and offer a quick, convenient way to reach the port.

Note: Formentera does not have an airport or a train station.

Where does the ferry arrive in Dénia?

Ferries from Formentera arrive at the port of Dénia, located on the southeast coast of Spain. The city sits between Valencia (about 100 km away) and Alicante (around 90 km), both of which have international airports for onward travel.

The ferry terminal (Baleària Port) is easily accessible from the center of Dénia via Carrer de Patricio Ferrándiz. You can also hop on La Panseta, a free solar-powered boat that connects the ferry terminal with the city center.
