Where to take the ferry from Corfu to Igoumenitsa

You can catch the ferry to Igoumenitsa from 2 ports in Corfu: the main port in Corfu Town and the port of Lefkimmi. 

• The port of Corfu Town is located on the north side of the island capital, 20 minutes from the Old Town on foot and 3 minutes by car on average. The distance from the port of Corfu Town to the airport is approximately 3 km. In the port area there are cafés, restaurants, shops, hotels, car rental agencies and a playground.
• The port of Lefkimmi is on the southern part of the island, about 3 km from the settlement, about 5 min by car and 30 min on foot. Around the port you will find a few boat tour agencies, car rentals and hotels.

How to get to the ports of Corfu

The main port of the island is in Corfu Town, which is about 2 km from the city center and 3.5 km from Corfu International Airport (CFU).

• On foot: if you are staying in the Old Town, you can reach the passenger terminal in about 15-20 min by walking along the coastal road.
• By car: The port is well-signposted, with a large parking area near the terminal, though it can get crowded during the high season.
• By bus: you can reach the port in 10-15 min from the airport and the city center (San Rocco Square) with Blue Bus line 15.
• Taxi: there are taxis readily available at the airport and throughout the town, with the ride ride to the port from the city center taking 5-10 min.

The Port of Lefkimmi is located at the southern side of the island, approximately 45 km from Corfu Town.

• By car: it takes around 1 hr from Corfu Town via the Ethniki Odos Kerkiras Lefkimmis.
• By bus: Green Buses (KTEL) run daily routes from the main station in Corfu Town to the port of Lefkimmi.

Where does the ferry arrive in Igoumenitsa?

Ferries from Corfu normally arrive at the northern pier in Igoumenitsa, which serves domestic ferry connections. The northern pier is located near the city center of Igoumenitsa and in the surrounding area you will find cafés, restaurants, shops, hotels, ATMs, banks and car rental agencies.

From the port city you can travel by car, as well as the intercity bus to Thessaloniki, Ioannina, Patras, and Athens. It takes about 3.5 hr to get to Thessaloniki and around 5 hr to travel to Athens.
