  • With Positano Jet, you can bring on board 1 piece of luggage with a maximum size of 55x40x20 cm for a €2 fee. Hand bags and backpacks can be transported free of charge. 
  • NLG considers suitcases, travel bags and backpacks with maximum dimensions of 50x30x15 cm and a weight up to 5 kg as luggage.
  • On Grassi Junior ferries you can bring your own luggage on board by paying an additional fee of €2.
  • On Alicost and Coast Lines ferries, you can bring 1 piece of luggage on board with a maximum size of 50x35x20 cm and a maximum weight of 9 kg.

Ferries operating from Salerno to Amalfi are generally accessible to passengers with disabilities and reduced mobility.

Where to take the ferry from Salerno to Amalfi

Ferries to Amalfi usually depart from Molo Concordia (also called Molo Masuccio) and Molo Manfredi, both located in the port of Salerno.

  • Molo Concordia is the closest pier to the city center and Salerno railway station. You can walk there in about 10 min from Piazza Vittorio Veneto and the train station.
  • Molo Manfredi is a bit further along the waterfront and hosts the shell-shaped maritime station designed by Zaha Hadid, one of Salerno’s architectural landmarks. Around the terminal, you’ll find cafés, bars, pizzerias, shops, and parking facilities.

How to get to the port of Salerno

If you are traveling from the city center of Salerno, both piers are along the seafront promenade, so you can easily get there on foot or hopping on a bus.

From Salerno train station, you can walk about 5 min to Molo Concordia, or take a short taxi ride to Molo Manfredi, which is about 10 min away.

From Naples Airport, you can take the shuttle or train to Naples Central, then continue with regional train to Salerno, which normally takes around 40 min. From there, you can walk or take a taxi to the port.

If you’re traveling by car, keep in mind that vehicles cannot be taken on hydrofoils or ferries to Amalfi, and you’ll need to leave your vehicle in one of the paid parking lots near the port or in Salerno city center.

Where does the ferry arrive in Amalfi?

Ferries from Salerno typically dock at La Marina, the main port of Amalfi. The port is a short walk from Amalfi’s historic center, Piazza Duomo, and the Cathedral of St. Andrew, making it very convenient for visitors arriving by sea.

In the area around the port, you’ll also find cafés, restaurants and shops, as well as bus stops for connections to other villages along the Amalfi Coast.
