The port of Barcelona is very close to the city center of Barcelona. The ferry from Barcelona to Tangier normally departs from Muelle de Sant Bertran, in the Port Vell area near the city center.   • Public transport: the closest underground station is Drassanes (Line L3), while the buses reaching the port are D20, H14, 20, 21, 91, 120, and 121.
  • By car/taxi: follow Ronda del Port or B-10; parking at World Trade Center (Moll de Barcelona) with shuttle access.
  • From airport: 30 min by A1/A2 bus to center then metro, or direct taxi.

Where does the ferry arrive in Tangier?

The ferry from Barcelona docks at Tanger Med, a large modern port about 40 km east of Tangier and the old port. In and around the port, you will find cafés and small shops, ATMs and car rental agencies. There are also shuttle buses and taxis to take you to Tangier city or other destinations.

By car or taxi, it takes around 45 min to 1 hr to reach Tangier via the A4 highway. Buses can take a bit longer, depending on the stops along the way. You can also hop on the train at Tanger Med which takes roughly 1 hr for Tangier Ville.
