Ferries Corralejo

As is the case with the rest of the Canary Islands, Fuerteventura has a subtropical climate with daytime temperatures ranging between 20ºC and 27ºC throughout the year. Therefore, it is an ideal destination, regardless of the season, and ferries to Corralejo from Lanzarote (Playa Blanca) operate year-round with frequent and reliable crossings.

If you plan to visit Corralejo during July and August (arguably the best time for higher temperatures) or during the Christmas period (when it becomes noticeably more crowded), we recommend booking your tickets at least a few weeks in advance.

When traveling by ferry to Corralejo, you can secure lower-priced tickets by taking advantage of the regular discounts of up to 50% offered by the ferry companies. These discounts may vary depending on the company, but they are usually granted to the following passenger categories:

Located on the island’s northern tip, Corralejo is one of the most vibrant resort towns of Fuerteventura in the Canary archipelago. Another surprise awaits just 15 minutes by boat across the water from Corralego: Los Lobos. On this tiny, uninhabited islet, hiking trails twist past volcanic rock and snorkeling spots reveal underwater wonders. No wonder that a day trip to Los Lobos from Fuerteventura is a must for nature lovers!

Meanwhile, Corralejo is a windsurfing and kitesurfing hub, offering ideal conditions especially in April and October. Close to Corralejo, you will also find the wave of Punta Elena, which is ideal for intermediate surfers, and one of the best 13 surf spots in the Canary Islands.

Here are some useful tips for your ferry trip to Corralejo:

• The port of Playa Blanca in Lanzarote can get quite busy, especially in the summer, so we recommend arriving at the port at least 45 min before departure. If you are traveling with a vehicle, it is best to arrive 1.5 hr ahead of departure.

The port of Corralejo is located right in the town center, within walking distance of the beaches, shops, cafés, and restaurants. The port of Corralejo is also approximately 26 km from Puerto del Rosario, the capital of Fuerteventura, which is easily accessible by car or public transport (bus 6).
