Ferry from Playa Blanca to Corralejo

When traveling from Playa Blanca to Corralejo, you can take advantage of the regular discounts of up to 50% offered by the ferry companies. While these discounts differ from one company to another, you can generally expect lower ferry ticket prices for:

• Children (4-11 years old)
• Young travelers (under 26 years)
• Senior travelers (60+)
• Large families (Spanish citizens)

Additionally, residents of the Canary Islands are normally entitled to discounts of up to 85% on regular ferry ticket prices.

Note: infants and toddlers up to 3 years old normally travel free of charge.

The ferries serving the Playa Blanca - Corralejo connection are mainly high-speed (Líneas Romero and Fred. Olsen Express), reaching the island in 25 min. There are also conventional ferries of Naviera Armas and Fred. Olsen operating on the route, that reach Fuerteventura in around 35 min.

What accommodation is available on the ferries?

Standard deck/lounge seating is included in the ticket price. Bear in mind that with Fred. Olsen Express and Naviera Armas, there is a priorty boarding option. Naviera Armas also has meal options.

Due to the short length of the trip, there are no cabins available on the ferries traveling from Playa Blanca in Lanzarote to Corralejo in Fuerteventura.

How much luggage can I bring on board?

Each ferry company serving the Playa Blanca - Corralejo route has its own baggage allowance policy:

• With Fred. Olsen, you can carry up to 20 kg of luggage. The company also offers trolleys to transport your bags and lockers for €1.
• On Líneas Romero ferries, you are entitled to 20 kg of baggage.
• When traveling with Naviera Armas ferries, you can bring up to 4 pieces of luggage with a total weight of 60 kg. The company also offers trolleys to transport them.

Traveling with pets

Pets are allowed on Playa Blanca - Corralejo ferries, provided you include them in your booking. Pet policies and facilities may vary depending on the company and vessel you're traveling with.

During the journey, your pet must be kept in a carrier or wear a leash and  a muzzle. Note that Fred Olsen Express normally supports pets traveling outside carriers if you book “Pet Sofa” or “Pet Rooms”.

Don’t forget to bring along the necessary pet health documents and passports, boarding passes, and any supplies you may need for the journey.

Here are some useful tips for your ferry trip from Playa Blanca to Corralejo:

• The port of Playa Blanca can get quite busy, especially in the summer, so we recommend arriving at the port in Lanzarote at least 45 min before departure. If you are traveling with a vehicle, it is best to be there 1.5 hr ahead of departure.

Where to take the ferry from Playa Blanca to Corralejo

Ferries to Corralejo in Fuerteventura usually set sail from the port of Playa Blanca in Lanzarote, on the southern tip of the island. The port town is about 36 km from Arrecife and 30 km from Lanzarote Airport. You can easily get to the port by car, taxi, or bus. From Arrecife, it takes around 1 hr by bus or about 40 min by car to get to Playa Blanca.

Where does the ferry arrive in Corralejo?

Ferries from Lanzarote normally arrive in Corralejo, which is on the northern coast of Fuerteventura. The port of Corralejo is approximately 26 km from Puerto del Rosario, the island capital, which is easily accessible by car or public transport (bus 6).

In the area around the port you will find cafés, bars and restaurants, as well as shops, hotels, banks, ATMs and tour operators.
