- We recommend arriving at the port at least 1 hour before departure, especially if you are traveling with your vehicle during the summer months. The port of Piraeus and the port of Rhodes, which both connect to Kastellorizo, may get busy during this period.
- If you travel on the Piraeus - Kastellorizo route, it is best to book a cabin. The trip takes about 19 hours, and a cabin is the best way to spend the hours comfortably and in privacy.

The Piraeus - Kastellorizo route is operated by Blue Star Ferries. On the company’s open deck (conventional), you can book a 1-, 2-, 3-, or 4-bed cabin, or a bed in a shared cabin. Alternatively, you can opt for a deck-lounge or a numbered airplane-style seat. You will also find restaurants and stores on board.
Dodekanisos Seaways and Saos Ferries operate routes connecting Kastellorizo to other Dodecanese islands. On board their open deck vessels, you can book a deck-lounge or a standard seat (depending on the vessel and the ferry operator).
On all ferries to Kastellorizo from Greek ports, you will find snack bars and air-conditioned indoor areas. Wi-Fi is available on select routes. Pets are allowed on all routes to Kastellorizo from Greek ports and travel free of charge.
Due to the short length of the trip, cabins are not available on the ferries from Kaş to Kastellorizo. Onboard seating, however, is available and included in the ticket price. Meis Ferry Lines allows pets (cats and dogs, except restricted breeds) on board, provided they have a valid international health and vaccination certificate. Pet travel must be agreed upon in advance. Meis Express, however, does not allow pets on ferries between Kaş and Kastellorizo.
Kastellorizo Port
The port of Kastellorizo is located in its capital, which is also the island’s only village. Upon arrival, you can find hotels, restaurants, and other visitor amenities.
