Ferry from Sapri to Vulcano

Children up to 3 years old can travel across all Alicost routes for free, while children aged 3 to 12 are entitled to discount tickets.

Cabins & accommodation

The hydrofoils that were operating on the Sapri - Vulcano route did not have cabins. Onboard seating was included in the ticket price, however.

Luggage

On the vessels of Alilauro, each passenger can bring up to 1 free piece of luggage with a maximum size of 50x35x20 cm. For additional luggage, an extra fee is applied.

Pets on board

With Alicost, you can travel safely with your little friend, as long as you book pet tickets as well.

Note that only small or medium-sized pets are allowed on board. For larger pets, owners need to make sure that there will be no disturbance throughout the journey. Otherwise, boarding may be denied.

• Although departures from Sapri to the Aeolian Islands are no longer active, you can reach Vulcano from the Sicilian ports of Milazzo, Messina and Palermo, from Calabria (Vibo Valentia and Reggio Calabria) and even from Naples.
• Among the must-sees in Vulcano is definitely the walk to the crater. From here you can enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the archipelago.
• After spending a few days in Vulcano, consider resuming your adventure in the Aeolian Islands by visiting Filicudi and Alicudi. The Vulcano - Filicudi and Vulcano - Alicudi ferry routes are frequent and direct!

Where to take the ferry from Sapri to Vulcano

Ferries from Sapri to Vulcano used to depart from the port’s only pier.

The port area is about 2 km from the city railway station and it is connected by a free shuttle service. Nearby, you can find plenty of visitor amenities, such as bars, restaurants, pizzerias, and public parking.
