Ferry from Naples to Vulcano

There are various types of cabins available, but only on Siremar ferries operating the Naples - Vulcano crossing. Alternatively, you can opt for numbered or deck lounge seats.

Luggage

With SNAV, you can take 1 piece of hand luggage with you weighing up to 9 kg and with a maximum size of 50x35x20 cm free of charge. On Siremar's ferries, on the other hand, each passenger is entitled to carry 1 piece of luggage with a maximum weight of 20 kg.

Reminder: companies usually apply an extra boarding fee for additional luggage that exceeds the proposed dimensions/weight.

Pets on board

On Naples - Vulcano ferries, you can bring your pet on board, as long as you fill out the appropriate information and pay an additional fee.

A carrier or cage is required for small pets. As for larger pets, they must have a muzzle and be on a leash. On Siremar ferries, there are also special areas on board reserved for passengers with dogs or other pets.

Here are some useful tips for your ferry trip from Naples to Vulcano:

Where to take the ferry from Naples to Vulcano

Conventional ferries and hydrofoils to Vulcano depart from the port of Naples. It is located near the city center (Piazza Municipio) and is easily accessible by public transport.

Typically, ferries to Vulcano depart from the Calata Porta di Massa pier of the port of Naples, while the hydrofoils depart from the Mergellina pier.

You can reach the Calata Porta di Massa pier from the Naples central station by taking the bus that stops in Piazza Garibaldi. To reach the Mergellina pier, you can use the metro, just a 5-min walk from the port.
