Where does the ferry from Tenerife to Las Palmas depart from?

Ferries to Las Palmas depart from the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, specifically from the ferry terminal area at Muelle de Enlace, in Dársena de Anaga. The port is right in central Santa Cruz de Tenerife, very close to Plaza de España.

Tenerife North Airport is around 10 km from the port, while Tenerife South Airport is about 65 km away.

How to get to the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife

You can reach the port by bus, car, tram or taxi:

• From Tenerife North Airport: TITSA bus 20 connects the airport with the Santa Cruz bus station in around 20 min. From there, you can continue to the port on foot or by taxi.
• From Tenerife South Airport: TITSA bus 10 reaches the Santa Cruz bus station in around 55 min.
• By car: from northern Tenerife, you can reach Santa Cruz via the TF-5, while from the south you can take the TF-1. Once in Santa Cruz, follow the signs for Muelle de Enlace.
• By tram: line 1 connects La Laguna with Santa Cruz. You can get off at Fundación or Intercambiador and complete the final part of the journey on foot or by taxi.

Where do ferries arrive in Las Palmas?

Ferries from Santa Cruz de Tenerife arrive at the port of Las Palmas (Gran Canaria), specifically at the passenger terminal at Muelle Nelson Mandela, in the La Esfinge area.

The terminal is around 5 km by road from the Santa Catalina and Las Canteras area, so the most convenient options for continuing your journey are bus, taxi or car. The terminal has passenger waiting areas and other services, as well as car-rental options.

Important: do not confuse Muelle Nelson Mandela with Muelle de Santa Catalina, which is mainly used by cruise ships.

How to get around from the port of Las Palmas

• Baleària offers a free Ferry Bus connecting Muelle Nelson Mandela (La Esfinge) with the Fundación Puerto de Las Palmas office. When arriving in Las Palmas, pickups are available for selected ferry arrivals. Keep in mind that the service is restricted on some sailings, so we recommend checking availability before traveling.
• Guaguas Municipales bus 18 connects the port area with other parts of the city during selected times of the day.
