- Alternatively, you travel to La Palma from the port of Los Cristianos, on the southern end of Tenerife. This, however, requires traveling about 75 km by car or bus from one port to the other, with the ride usually taking around 1 hr. From Los Cristianos, you continue to La Palma with high-speed ferries that operate up to 5 times a day with a travel time of about 2.5 hr.
