Cabins and accommodation

Cabins can be booked for the long Cádiz - Tenerife section, subject to availability. Depending on the sailing, passengers may find inside and outside cabins for 2 or 4 people, normally with a private bathroom and air conditioning. Cabin prices normally start at around €113.

What types of seats can you book? 

Passengers can normally choose between standard (Sirena) and superior (Neptuno) reclining seats on the long-distance ferry.

Luggage

With Baleària, you do not need to check in your suitcases or hand luggage. If you are traveling without a vehicle, you can bring the luggage you can carry aboard by yourself, without assistance and in one trip. Open luggage racks are available in the passenger lounges, but it is best to keep valuables with you.

As this journey requires a transfer between Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Los Cristianos, make sure your luggage is easy to transport and check the transfer instructions included in your booking.

Traveling with pets

• The port of Cádiz can get busy, so it’s best to be there at least 2 hr ahead of your departure. If you are traveling with a vehicle, we highly recommend being at the port 2.5 hr in advance.

Where to take the ferry from Cádiz to La Palma

Ferries for La Palma typically set sail from the port of Cádiz in Andalusia. The ferry terminal is in the northeastern part of Cádiz, close to Paseo Canalejas and within walking distance of the historic center. The city’s central bus and train stations are also located near the port.

If you are driving, you can reach the terminal via Avenida de Astilleros from the CA-35 road. Jerez Airport, the closest airport to Cádiz, is approximately 43 km from the port.

How do I change ports in Tenerife?

The Volcán de Tinamar arrives at Santa Cruz de Tenerife. To continue to La Palma, you need to disembark and travel to Los Cristianos, where the Volcán de Tirajana departs for Santa Cruz de La Palma.

Check the timetable and your booking to confirm whether the service is available or included. If you are traveling with a vehicle, you need to disembark with your vehicle in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, drive south to Los Cristianos via the TF-1 motorway, and check in again to board the second ferry. 

Where does the ferry arrive in La Palma?

Ferries from Cádiz normally arrive at Santa Cruz de La Palma, a seaside town on the east coast of La Palma. The port is close to the town center, where you can find cafés, restaurants, shops, ATMs, car rentals, and other useful services.

La Palma Airport is approximately 9 km from the port and can be reached by bus, taxi or car.
