Standard seating is included in the ticket. Seats on Fred. Olsen Express inter-island ferries are generally not numbered, so passengers can choose an available seat in the standard lounges. Options include seats with sea views, family areas, tables and reclining seats.

Depending on the vessel and fare, you may also be able to book access to the Clase Oro premium lounge, which offers more comfortable seats, refreshments, work tables, access to an exclusive outdoor terrace, as well as priority boarding and disembarkation. Ferry luggage

Fred. Olsen Express allows 20 kg of luggage per person on the ferry Tenerife - Agaete. It also offers trolleys to transport your bags and lockers for €1. Keep in mind that you can only have 1 piece of luggage in the lounge in addition to your handbags, provided that it doesn't obstruct passageways or occupy any seats.

Normally, animals are allowed in the seating areas, as long as they weigh up to 10 kg and stay in their carrier (maximum size of 50x40x25 cm). Dogs using a Pet Sofa must stay leashed throughout the crossing. Each passenger can normally travel with up to 2 pets.

Where to take the ferry from Tenerife to Agaete

Ferries to Agaete depart from the Fred. Olsen Express terminal at Muelle de Ribera in the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The terminal is located at Edificio Puerto Ciudad, close to the center of Santa Cruz.

You can reach the port by car via the TF-1 or TF-5 motorway and Avenida de la Constitución, following the signs for the port service road. The Santa Cruz transport interchange is served by buses from other parts of Tenerife, including Tenerife North and Tenerife South airports. Taxis are also available throughout the city and at both airports. The terminal has a cafeteria, toilets, luggage racks, parking, and a vehicle pre-boarding area.

Where does the ferry arrive in Agaete?

Ferries from Tenerife arrive at Puerto de las Nieves in Agaete, on the northwestern coast of Gran Canaria.  It is located about 33 km from Las Palmas and 57 km from Gran Canaria Airport. 

From the port, you can continue your journey in several ways: 

• Ferry Bus: Fred. Olsen Express operates a free bus between Agaete and Santa Catalina Park in Las Palmas for selected ferry arrivals. Reserve your seat in advance when booking.
• By car: the GC-2 road connects Agaete with Las Palmas. The drive usually takes around 30-40 min, depending on traffic.
• By bus: public buses connect Agaete with Las Palmas and other destinations in northern Gran Canaria.
• By taxi: taxis are available for transfers to Agaete town and nearby destinations.
