Are there cabins on the ferry?

Yes, there are cabins for 1-4 passengers on all Las Palmas - Puerto del Rosario ferries. All cabins have a sea view, air-conditioning and a wardrobe, with prices starting at around €140 for a 2-bed cabin and €310 for a 4-bed cabin.

Can I book business-class seats?

Yes, on the high-speed ferries traveling from Las Palmas to Morro Jable you can either upgrade your ticket with priority boarding and a meal or book a reclining seat in the business lounge, which also includes priority boarding and access to an exclusive area.

Prices for priority boarding seats start at around €92, while business lounge seats start at €117.

Alternatively, standard seating in an air-conditioned passenger lounge is included in the ticket. On Fred. Olsen Express ferries, standard seats are generally unnumbered, so you can choose an available seat after boarding.

Luggage

Each ferry company serving the routes from Gran Canaria to Fuerteventura has its own luggage policy:

• On Fred. Olsen ferries, you are allowed up to 20 kg of luggage, free of charge. Luggage trolleys are available at the port for €1.
• When traveling with Baleària, you can bring the personal luggage you are able to carry yourself, without assistance and in one movement.

Here are some useful tips for your ferry Gran Canaria - Fuerteventura trip:

• The port of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria can get quite busy, especially during the summer, so we recommend arriving at least 45 min before your departure. If you are traveling with a vehicle, it’s best to be there 1.5 hr ahead of your ferry’s departure time.
• Choose your arrival port according to where you are staying. Morro Jable is convenient for Jandía, Costa Calma and southern Fuerteventura, while Puerto del Rosario is better for the capital and central or northern parts of the island.

Where to take the ferry from Gran Canaria to Fuerteventura

You can travel by ferry to Morro Jable or Puerto del Rosario in Fuerteventura from the port of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, also known as Puerto de La Luz. Baleària departures normally use Muelle Nelson Mandela in the La Esfinge area.

Las Palmas is located on the northeast coast of Gran Canaria, approximately 25 km from Gran Canaria Airport, making it easy to reach whether you're coming from the south or staying in Las Palmas.

The port is well-organized, with dedicated terminals for foot passengers and vehicles, clear signage for each ferry company, and waiting lounges. Nearby, you’ll find plenty of essential traveler amenities, such as cafés, restaurants, mini-markets, hotels, ATMs, pharmacies, car-rental agencies, and taxis.

Just a short walk away is Las Canteras Beach, and the commercial district, with shopping centers, electronics shops, and outdoor gear stores for any last-minute needs.

How to get to Las Palmas port

Reaching the Port of Las Palmas is straightforward, with several convenient transport options:

• From the airport, you can take bus routes 60, 1, or 11 from Gran Canaria Airport to Las Palmas. Route 60 is the fastest option, connecting the airport directly with Santa Catalina and San Telmo bus stations, both close to the port area.
• Within Las Palmas, the Guaguas Municipales city buses run many routes which stop near the Santa Catalina, a short walk to ferry check-in points.
• Taxis are widely available throughout the island, and rides from the airport typically take 20-30 min, depending on traffic and your location.
• If you are driving yourself, you can easily reach the port via the GC-1 freeway, which runs along the island’s eastern coast.

Where does the ferry arrive in Fuerteventura?

Ferries from Gran Canaria normally arrive at 2 ports in Fuerteventura: Morro Jable and Puerto del Rosario. Both ports are modern, accessible, and well-connected to the rest of the island.

• Morro Jable is on the southern coast of Fuerteventura. The port area includes restaurants, cafés, car-rental booths, and shaded waiting areas. Just a few minutes away, you’ll find long sandy beaches, a seaside promenade, supermarkets, pharmacies, and hotels. Bus 1 connects Morro Jable with Costa Calma, Puerto del Rosario and towns along the eastern coast. 
• Puerto del Rosario is the capital of Fuerteventura and located on the northeast side of the island. The port is close to the city center, so nearby you will find restaurants, bars, shops, hotels, and attractions like the harbor promenade and museums, as well as ATMs, tourist information points and car-rental agencies.

Morro Jable and Puerto del Rosario are approximately 90 km apart, so make sure you select the port that best suits your accommodation and onward travel plans.
