Corsica Ferries offers reduced fares for children: children under 4 travel for free, while children aged 4-11 can get up to 50% off the passenger fare. Special discounts are also available for residents of Sardinia.

Corsica Ferries’ conventional vessels on the Sardinia - France routes offer several onboard facilities for a comfortable long crossing. Depending on the vessel, you can find à la carte and self-service restaurants, cafés, bars, shops, children’s play areas, lounges, and Wi-Fi packages available at an extra cost.

Cabins and accommodation

As the ferry trip from Sardinia to France is quite long, booking a cabin is a good option, especially for overnight crossings. Corsica Ferries usually offers inside cabins, outside cabins with portholes, luxury cabins, pet-friendly cabins, and adapted cabins for passengers with reduced mobility, depending on the vessel and availability. The price of a cabin usually starts at around €90 and varies depending on its specifications.

If you are looking for a more budget-friendly option, deck-lounge seating is included in the ticket price. Numbered seats may also be available on selected crossings for an additional fee.

Luggage

Corsica Ferries allows each passenger to bring 1 piece of luggage not exceeding 200x100x50 cm in size.

Tip: once the ferry departs, you normally cannot access the garage. Make sure to take everything you need for the crossing with you before leaving your vehicle. 

Amenities for People with Disabilities

Corsica Ferries offers support and facilities for passengers with reduced mobility. Most vessels have adapted cabins, while lifts are available on board to help passengers access upper decks and cabin areas.

If you need assistance, make sure to declare it when booking and contact the port staff before boarding.

Traveling with pets

Pets are welcome on Corsica Ferries vessels traveling from Sardinia to France. Simply include your pet in your online booking and pay a small additional fee, which is usually less than €30.

Dogs can accompany passengers in designated public areas, specific cabins and certain restaurant areas, but they must be kept on a leash and may need to wear a muzzle. Cats and other small pets should travel in a carrier. Pet-friendly cabins are also available on selected crossings for a more comfortable trip. 

For international travel, make sure your pet has the required documents, such as a valid European pet passport, identification and up-to-date vaccinations.

• We recommend that you arrive at your departure port at least 1 hr ahead of time, especially during the summer or if you are traveling with a vehicle.
• Since the crossing between southern France and Sardinia is quite long, booking a cabin will ensure a more comfortable trip.
• Remember to carry a valid ID document, as identity checks may take place at the port or on board. 
• You can also travel from Sardinia to Corsica by ferry, with routes from ports such as Porto Torres, Golfo Aranci and Santa Teresa Gallura. 

Where to take the ferry from Sardinia to France

Ferries from Sardinia to Toulon, Sète and Nice, in southern France, depart from Porto Torres, located on the northwest coast of Sardinia. The port is close to the town center and can be reached by car, taxi and train from other parts of Sardinia.

Note: on occasion, Corsica Ferries has provided a connection between Toulon and Golfo Aranci, in northeastern Sardinia. However, schedules for 2026 have yet to be released.

Where does the ferry arrive in Sardinia?

Ferries from Sardinia arrive at the ports of Toulon, Nice and Sète in southern France, depending on the route and season.

Here’s more information about each port:

• Toulon: the port of Toulon has 3 main piers. Ferries from Sardinia usually arrive at Quai du Président Pierre Fournel. The port is located near the city center, where you will find car parks, car rentals, supermarkets, restaurants, and shops. The port is also well connected by road and train.
• Nice: ferries from Sardinia arrive at Quai du Commerce in Nice's port. The maritime station is close to the city center and only a 20-min walk from the Basilica of Notre Dame.
• Sète: ferries from Porto Torres usually disembark at Gare Maritime Orsetti, located at Place Mangeot. The center can be reached on foot from the port area in just a few minutes.
