Ferry from Milna (Brač) to Hvar

Where to take the ferry from Milna to Hvar

Ferries to Hvar leave from the port of Milna, which is on the western coast of Brač, at the passenger-catamaran pier on the town’s waterfront. The boarding point is in central Milna, along the main seaside promenade, so you can easily walk there from most hotels.

In the area around the port, you will find plenty of cafés, restaurants, grocery stores, ATMs, a bus stop and other basic services.

How to get the port of Milna

• On foot: Milna’s catamaran quay is on the waterfront in the center of town, close to cafés, restaurants, accommodations, shops, and marina services.
• By car: from Supetar, follow the D114 road west toward Sutivan and Milna. Since vehicles are not carried on the Milna-Hvar catamarans, you need to park before boarding. There are spaces around town, but parking close to the waterfront is limited in peak season.
• By bus: Milna and Supetar are connected by daily Arriva buses throughout the year, with additional services during the summer. The journey covers around 20 km and normally takes about 30 min.
• By taxi: taxis can take you to Milna from Supetar, Bol, Brač Airport, or other island settlements. Booking ahead is recommended in July and August.
• From Brač Airport: the airport is on the opposite side of the island, and the drive to Milna takes approximately 45 min. A taxi or rental car is the simplest option.

Where does the ferry arrive in Hvar?

Ferries from Milna usually dock at the passenger-catamaran pier in Hvar Town, which is on the western side of Hvar. The pier is directly on the waterfront promenade, a few minutes’ walk from St. Stephen’s Square, the Old Town.

Around the port, you can find ticket offices, ATMs, cafés, restaurants, shops, a post office, hotels and taxis. The main Hvar bus station is approximately 500 m away, where you can take buses to Stari Grad, Jelsa, Vrboska and other parts of the island.
