Where to take the ferry from Menorca to Valencia

Ferries to Valencia usually set sail from the Port of Mahón, which is on the eastern coast of Menorca. The ferry port is about 7 km from the island airport and around 45 km from Ciutadela, the other major port on the island.

The port of Mahón well-equipped, and nearby you will find plenty of traveler services and amenities, such as cafés, restaurants, shops, car rental offices and parking facilities.

How to get to the port of Menorca

  • By bus: several bus lines across Mahón stop at or within walking distance of the port.
  • By taxi: there are taxi ranks throughout the city and near the terminal, with a ride from a journey from the center or the airport taking about 10 min.
  • From the airport: there is a bus from the airport to the center of Mahón and from there you can continue on foot or take another bus or taxi.
  • By car: you can easily reach the port via the ME‐1 road by following the signs.

Where does the ferry arrive in Valencia?

Ferries from Menorca typically dock at the Port of Valencia, which is in the Grau district, about a 4 km from the downtown area. At the ferry terminal you will find ticket offices, restrooms, and waiting areas and nearby there cafés, restaurants and shops.

How to get to downtown Valencia from the port

  • By car or taxi taxi: the port is about a 15-20 min ride from the city center or the Joaquín Sorolla train station. If you are driving there yourself, the port is directly accessible via Avenida del Puerto.
  • By bus: there are plenty EMT buses that connect the city center with the port, such as lines 4 and 95.
  • By metro: Line 5 on the metro, with the Grau-Canyamelar or Marítim-Serreria stations being a few minutes away from the port of foot.
