Ferry from Hvar to Korčula

Traveling with pets

Pets are welcome on Hvar - Korčula catamarans. Small pets are allowed in the ferry salon, as long as they are transported in specially designed bags with maximum dimensions 45x35x25 cm and a total weight of up to 8 kg. One passenger can only have 1 bag with a pet.

Larger pets will be allowed on board only if there are available kennels on open decks (should be booked and extra charged). Make sure you have your pet's health booklet with you and any other necessary certificates.

• During the summer and on weekends, it is advisable to arrive at the port of Hvar well in advance to avoid delays.

Where to take the ferry from Hvar to Korčula

Catamarans to Korčula depart from the port of Hvar. The port of Hvar is located in the southeastern part of the harbor, in the very center of the town, and is about 500 m from the main bus station.

In the port area, you can find everything you need, including bars, restaurants, shops, a post office, and ATMs.

Where does the ferry arrive in Korčula?

Ferries from Hvar dock at 2 ports on Korčula: the main port in Korčula Town on the northeastern coast and the port of Vela Luka on the western side of the island.

The port of Korčula Town is conveniently located near the historic old town. Around the port you will find seaside cafés, restaurants and shops, as well as key attractions like St. Mark’s Cathedral and the reputed birthplace of Marco Polo. The nearest bus station is about a 7-min walk from the port.

Vela Luka, the largest town on the island, also serves as a major ferry terminal. The pier where ferries arrive is situated approximately a 10-min walk from the town center.
