At the port, you will find waiting lounges, ticket offices, and a few shops, with ATMs, banks, hotels, taxis, buses, and train stations located nearby.

The city centre is close to the port, while Houari Boumediene Airport is about 20 km northeast, typically a 30-40 min taxi ride away.

Port of Bejaïa

The port of Béjaïa-Cheikh El Haddad is a major transport hub located in Kabylia, northern Algeria. Thanks to its strategic location in the Mediterranean, it stands as the second-largest commercial port in the country after Algiers, serving routes to Sète and Marseille.

The port features air-conditioned waiting lounges, food options, and bank branches, as well as a panoramic restaurant.

It is located right in the heart of the city, just 1.5 km from the historic centre (Place du 1er Novembre / Place Gueydon). Expect a 15 to 20-min walk or a 5-min taxi ride to reach it. Additionally, Béjaïa train station is located right in front of the ferry terminal, making it easy to travel onwards to other towns in Kabylia or to Algiers.

Port of Oran

The port of Oran, situated on the western coast of Algeria, is one of the country's most prominent maritime hubs. It serves as a major gateway for travellers arriving from Europe and hosts ferry connections to Marseille. Much like Béjaïa, the port is located directly within the city, nestled at the foot of the seafront cliffs.

The passenger terminal is less than a 10-min drive from Place d'Armes (Place du 1er Novembre) and the historic centre. The port is also accessible by public transport. Oran Train Station is about 4-5 km from the terminal and can easily be reached by taxi.
