Ferry from Formia to Ponza

On the Formia - Ponza ferries there are no cabins available, but only standard seats.

Luggage

On board conventional Laziomar ferries, you can carry hand luggage with a maximum size of 55x40x20 cm. On hydrofoils, however, luggage size cannot exceed 35x20x20 cm.

Pets on board

On the Formia - Ponza route you can travel with your pet by paying a fee and under the following conditions:

• The company only accepts small-sized pets that need to stay close to their owner or in their own carrier during the trip.
• All pet travel documents must be in order.
• Dogs should always wear a muzzle and a leash.

Please note that guide dogs travel for free.

• We recommend arriving at the port of Formia well in advance, especially if you travel in high season and with a vehicle.
• Formia is located 130 km from Rome and 70 km from Naples. You can reach Formia from both cities by train.
• Apart from the Formia - Ponza connection, you can also take a ferry to Ponza from Anzio in the summer.

Where to take the ferry from Formia to Ponza

Ferries to Ponza from Formia depart from the Pontine Islands Ferry Terminal, near Via Bruno Tallini street.

The port of Formia is 10 min from the train station and can be reached on foot or with a free shuttle that runs every 20 min.

In the port area, there are various amenities: bars, restaurants, pastry shops, nightclubs, shops, parking lots, car rental agencies, tobacco shops, and pharmacies.
