Ferries to Pozzuoli typically depart from the port of Casamicciola Terme (Porto di Casamicciola), on the northern coast of Ischia. The port is located in the center of Casamicciola Terme, around 5 km from Ischia Porto and approximately 7 km from Forio.

In the area around the port, you will find basic travel amenities, such as ticket offices, cafés, bars, convenience stores, waiting areas and hotels. Public parking and private parking lots are available within walking distance of the port, although spaces can fill up during the summer.

How to get to the port of Casamicciola

• On foot: if you are staying in Casamicciola Terme, you can easily reach the ferry terminal on foot from most accommodations, restaurants and the town center.
• By car: follow the island's main coastal road (SP270) to Casamicciola Terme.
• By bus: many EAV buses stop directly outside or near the port, with routes CD, CS, 1, 2 and 3 connecting Casamicciola with Ischia Porto, Forio, Lacco Ameno and other towns across the island.
• By taxi: a taxi ride from Ischia Porto usually takes about 10 min, while trips from Forio take around 15-20 min.

Where does the ferry arrive in Pozzuoli?

Ferries from Casamicciola typically dock at the port of Pozzuoli, on the mainland west of Naples. The ferry area is located around Largo San Paolo, the main embarkation and arrival point for ferry connections with Ischia and Procida.

The port is close to Pozzuoli’s waterfront and the Pertini promenade, with cafés, restaurants, supermarkets, ticket offices, car-rental agencies, taxi ranks and hotels nearby. The Pozzuoli train station is about 1.5 km away, so you can continue toward Naples by train or metro after arrival, while Naples Capodichino Airport is around 20 km from the port.

For onward travel, you can take Metro Line 2 and reach Naples Central Station in about 40-50 min, including the walk from the port. Alternatively, the Cumana railway from Pozzuoli can get you to Naples Montesanto in about 40 min.
