  • By train: Turku Harbour railway station is located directly next to the ferry terminal. Several regional trains connect Turku Central Station (Turun päärautatieasema) to the harbour in about 10 minutes. There are also direct long-distance connections from Helsinki.
  • By bus: local bus lines connect Turku city centre and the port in about 15-20 minutes. Services typically run several times per hour on weekdays. Long-distance coaches also stop at the harbour or Turku bus station, from where you can continue by local bus or taxi.
  • By taxi: a taxi ride from Turku city centre takes about 10 minutes, and around 20 minutes from Turku Airport, depending on traffic.

Where does the ferry arrive in Turku?

Ferries from Turku arrive at either Värtahamnen (Värtan Harbour) or Stadsgården (Masthamnen) in Stockholm, depending on the ferry company.

  • Viking Line docks at Stockholm Stadsgården, on the Södermalm waterfront in Masthamnen. From here, you can reach Stockholm Central Station by bus 76 (15-20 min) or by walking to Slussen metro station (15 min). By taxi, the city center is approximately 10 minutes away.
  • Tallink Silja Line arrives at Stockholm Värtahamnen (Värtan Terminal), in the northeastern part of the city. The terminal is accessible by metro (Red line to Gärdet, then a 10-15 min walk) or by bus 76 from Stockholm Central Station (approximately 20-25 min). By taxi, the journey to the city center takes around 15 minutes.
