Where to take the ferry from Loutro To Sfakia

You can take the ferry to Sfakia from the small port of Loutro, on the village waterfront. Loutro is a car-free seaside village on the south coast of Chania, so there are no numbered gates or large ferry terminals. Ferries usually depart from the main quay in the harbor, within easy walking distance of the village’s hotels, tavernas and mini-market. 

Where does the ferry arrive in Sfakia?

The ferry arrives at the port of Sfakia, also called Chora Sfakion. The port is right by the village center, so cafés, tavernas, accommodation options and basic services are within walking distance.

From Sfakia, you can continue by road to other destinations in southern Crete or travel toward Chania. Chora Sfakion is about 71 km from Chania, while the road transfer to Chania Airport usually takes around 1 hr 30 min.
