Where to take the ferry from Tarifa to Tanger Ville

Ferries to Tanger Ville depart from Estación Marítima at the port of Tarifa, close to the town. You can easily get to the port by car, taxi or on foot (only a 5-min stroll away from the Medina). 

The passenger terminal at the port is equipped with all essential amenities, including ticket counters, tourist information booths, restaurants, and more. Near the port you can find both short-term and long-term parking facilities. There’s 24/7 surveillance and the first 30 min are free of charge.

How to get to the port of Tarifa?

• By car: Tarifa is accessible via the N-340 coastal road from Algeciras (about 20 min) and Cádiz (about 1 h 30 min). Parking is available near the port, though spaces can fill up quickly in summer.
• By bus: Comes operates regular bus services connecting Tarifa with Algeciras (about 30 min), Cádiz (about 1 hr 45 min) and Seville (about 3 hr). The bus stop is located right next to the port.
• By train: Tarifa does not have a train station. The nearest station is in Algeciras, about 20 km away, from where you can continue to Tarifa by bus or taxi.
• By plane: the nearest airports are Gibraltar Airport (about 40 km), Jerez de la Frontera Airport (about 120 km) and Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport (about 150 km).
