Ferry from Cádiz to Lanzarote

What types of seats can you book?

Along with cabins, passengers can travel in a seat or communal lounge. Baleària Canarias uses the following accommodation categories across its Canary Islands services:

• Lobby: access to a communal area without a specifically assigned seat, where offered.
• Sirena standard seat: the operator’s standard seating option, with prices from about €270.
• Neptuno business seat: a more comfortable superior reclining seat, sometimes located in a separate lounge. Tickets for the VIP lounge are usually priced from around €300.

Luggage

When traveling with Baleària, foot passengers can bring as much luggage as they can carry on board themselves in a single trip. Luggage storage areas are available in the passenger lounges, but you should keep valuables with you.

Accessibility

The ferry has facilities for passengers with reduced mobility, including adapted seating and toilets, wheelchair safety anchors, and accessible cabins.

Passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility are entitled to assistance during boarding, disembarkation and the journey, at no additional cost. Assistance should be requested in advance so the operator and port can make the necessary arrangements.

Traveling with pets

Pets are allowed on Cádiz - Lanzarote ferries, provided you include them in your bookings.

Here are some useful tips for your Cádiz - Lanzarote ferry trip:

• The port of Cádiz can get quite busy, so it’s best to be there at least 1 hr in advance. Ιf you are traveling with a vehicle, we recommend arriving at least 1.5 hr before departure.
• The sea can get a bit rough, so if you are prone to seasickness, talk to your pharmacist or doctor about motion sickness medication and remedies.
• For greater comfort and privacy on your Cádiz - Arrecife ferry trip, we recommend you book a cabin. Alternatively, the VIP lounge has reclining seats and comes with priority boarding.
• The crossing takes around 28 hr and normally runs once a week, so it is not suitable for a day trip. Plan to spend at least a few days in Lanzarote.

Where to take the ferry from Cádiz to Lanzarote

You can take the ferry to Lanzarote from the port of Cádiz in the northeastern part of the city. The Baleària maritime terminal at Muelle Marqués de Comillas and within walking distance of the historic center. Cádiz train and bus stations are also located close to the port.

If you are arriving by car, the Port of Cádiz connects directly via the A-4 highway from Seville and Madrid. Jerez Airport, the closest airport to Cádiz, is about 43 km north of the city and is connected to Cádiz by car, taxi, bus, and train.

Where does the ferry arrive in Lanzarote?

Ferries from Cádiz normally arrive at Puerto de los Mármoles in Arrecife, on the eastern side of Lanzarote, around 2-3 km from Arrecife’s historic center.

You can continue from the port by taxi, bus (lines 03 and 25), rental car, or your own vehicle. Lanzarote Airport is about 7 km from Arrecife, while Puerto del Carmen is approximately 15 km away.
