Where to take the ferry from Samos to Turkey

There are 3 ports in Samos: Vathy, Karlovasi and Pythagoreion. Ferries to Turkey depart from the port of Pythagoreio and Vathy.

Vathy is the capital of Samos. It is located on the northeast side of Samos and around the port, you will find cafés, restaurants and bars, as well as hotels, ATMs, car rentals and parking services.

The port of Pythagoreion is located in the southeastern part of Samos. There are tavernas, shops and parking lots at the port.

Where does the ferry arrive in Turkey?

Ferries from Samos arrive at 2 Turkish ports:

• Kuşadası: just a 5-min walk from the city center. The port area offers useful services such as ATMs, restaurants and tourist landmarks. A tourist information desk is also located just outside the terminal. You can reach most parts of the city from the port easily by taxi or local buses.
• Seferihisar: it’s located in the seaside resort of Sığacık, 5 km from the center of Seferihisar and about 50 km southwest of Izmir. Near the port there are many cafés, restaurants, pharmacies, ATMs and other useful traveler services.
