Where to take the ferry from Bari to Albania

Ferries to Albania (Durrës) usually depart from the Italian port of Bari, and more specifically, from Molo San Vito.

The port is located very close to Bari’s city centre and just a short walk from the historic old town (Bari Vecchia). Bari Karol Wojtyła Airport is about 10-12 km away, while Bari Centrale train station is around 2.5 km from the port.

How to get to the port of Bari

• By car: the port is easily accessible via the SS16 ring road. Follow signs for “Porto di Bari.” There are short- and long-term parking areas near the passenger terminal.
• From Bari Centrale train station: the station is about 10 min by taxi (approx. 2.5 km). You can also take a local bus toward the port area or walk (around 30 min).
• From Bari Airport (Karol Wojtyła): the airport is about 20-30 min away by car or taxi. You can also take the FR2 regional train from the airport to Bari Centrale station and then continue by taxi or bus to the port.

Where does the ferry arrive in Albania?

Ferries from Bari arrive at the Port of Durrës. The passenger ferry terminal is located close to the city centre. The port is just 1-2 km from central Durrës, and you can reach the main promenade and city attractions within a short taxi ride or even on foot.
