Where to take the ferry from Brindisi to Albania

Ferries to Vlorë depart from the Italian port of Brindisi and specifically from the west quay of Costa Morena (Punta delle Terrare). The terminal offers several passenger facilities, including ticket offices, a waiting area and places to eat and drink. Car parks are also available nearby.

Brindisi city centre is just a few kilometres from the port and has plenty of bars, restaurants, hotels and other amenities.

How to get to the port of Brindisi

You can reach the port of Brindisi in several ways:

• By car: the port is easily accessible via the SS16 Adriatica and the city’s main roads. Paid parking is available near the terminal.
• By train: Brindisi Centrale railway station is around 4 km from the terminal. From there, you can reach the port in just a few minutes by bus or taxi.
• By bus: a direct shuttle service connects Salento Airport (Brindisi) with the Costa Morena terminal, with a journey time of around 30 min. Local buses also run from the city centre to the port area.
• By taxi: the journey takes around 10 min from central Brindisi and usually 20-30 min from the airport, depending on traffic.

Where does the ferry arrive in Albania?

Ferries from Brindisi arrive at the port of Vlorë, Albania’s second-largest port.

The port is located at the northern end of the Bay of Vlorë (Gjiri i Vlorës) and is connected to the city centre by public transport. Vlorë’s historic centre is just 3 km from the port.

You will find several useful amenities nearby, including shops, restaurants, bars and hotels.
