Where to take the ferry from Rovinj to Venice?

Ferries from Rovinj to Venice depart from the Rovinj passenger port, located on the waterfront, just a few minutes on foot from the Old Town and Balbi’s Arch. The terminal is easily accessible on foot from most hotels in the center, or by taxi from more remote areas of the city.

How to get to the port of Rovinj

• By car: the port of Rovinj is easily accessible by car via the A9 motorway. There are several paid parking lots near the port, but during the summer months it is advisable to arrive early, as parking availability may be limited.
• By bus: the Rovinj bus station is located around 700 m from the port, which is about a 10-min walk. The city is connected by frequent buses to Pula, Poreč, Rijeka, Zagreb, and other destinations in Croatia, as well as some international destinations.
• By train: Rovinj does not have a train station. The nearest station is in Pula, around 40 km away. From there, you can continue to Rovinj by bus, taxi or rental car.
• By plane: the nearest airport is Pula Airport (PUY), located around 40 km from the port of Rovinj. From the airport, you can reach the city by local bus, depending on the season, shuttle, taxi or rental car.

Where do ferries arrive in Venice?

Ferries from Rovinj arrive at the San Basilio Terminal, in the Zattere area, close to Venice's historic center.

The terminal is located on Fondamenta Zattere al Ponte Lungo and is easily accessible on foot or by vaporetto (water bus) from Piazzale Roma, Tronchetto and Venezia Santa Lucia railway station.
