Ferry from Corfu to Saranda

The ferries from Corfu to Saranda are designed for a short international crossing, so their facilities are relatively limited. Passengers can generally expect indoor seating and, on conventional ferries, access to an outdoor deck. Snacks and drinks are usually available on all ferries.

There are some differences between vessel types:

• High-speed catamarans and hydrofoils provide the fastest crossings and mainly feature airline-style indoor seating. They do not carry vehicles and usually have no restaurant, Wi-Fi or extensive passenger facilities.
• Conventional and vehicle-carrying ferries take longer but may have outdoor deck space and a small bar or snack service. Vehicle transport is available only on selected vessels and departures.

Cabins and accommodation

Since the crossing to Saranda is quite short, ferries don’t have cabins. Only deck-lounge accommodation is available.

Ferry luggage

On Finikas Lines and Ionian Seaways vessels, passengers are entitled to carry free luggage up to 25 kg. On Albania Luxury Ferries, however, there is no specific limit on the number of luggage you can bring onboard.

Luggage is usually stored in the designated areas indicated by the crew. If you are traveling with oversized baggage or sports equipment, confirm that it can be accommodated before departure. 

Accessibility

Accessibility facilities vary depending on the vessel. Whenever possible, travellers with reduced mobility may find a larger conventional ferry more suitable than a small hydrofoil.

If you require assistance with boarding or have specific mobility needs, inform the ferry company when booking and contact the operator in advance to confirm the available facilities.

Traveling with pets

On Corfu to Saranda ferries, you can travel with your pet free of charge. However, make sure to include it in the booking!

During the crossing, pets must remain in a carrier or in the designated deck area, on a leash and wearing a muzzle. They are not allowed in indoor passenger areas. Make sure to bring your pet’s valid health certificate and all documents required for international travel between Greece and Albania.

Where to take the ferry from Corfu to Saranda

Ferries to Saranda depart from the international ferry terminal at the New Port of Corfu Town.

The port is around 1.5-2 km from Corfu Old Town and can be reached on foot in approximately 20-30 min, as well as by local bus or taxi. Corfu International Airport is about 3 km from the port.

Where does the ferry arrive in Saranda?

Ferries from Corfu arrive at the main ferry terminal of the port of Saranda, located on the town’s central waterfront.

The terminal is within walking distance of the city center, hotels and restaurants. Taxis and car-rental services are also available near the port. As this is an international arrival, passengers must complete passport control before leaving the terminal.
