- If you are planning a day trip to Gozo or Comino, opt for the port of Ċirkewwa for the shortest travel time.
- Traveling during the summer generally means you have more options and a choice between conventional and high-speed ferries.

There are 2 main ports in Malta, the Grand Harbour in Valletta and Ċirkewwa on the northern coast. The Grand Harbor, near the historic city center of Valletta, primarily connects the island nation to Sicily and the Italian mainland.
The smaller port of Ċirkewwa, about 50km from the Maltese capital, has regular crossings to Gozo.
Additionally, you will find the Marsamxett Harbour in Valletta, however it is mostly used by tour boats and yachts.
