Eckerö Line is a Finnish ferry company based in Helsinki and owned by the Åland-based Rederiaktiebolaget Eckerö. Founded in 1994, it offers fast and comfortable traveling between Finland and Estonia.

Eckerö Line is the only shipping company that sails on the Finnish Gulf between Helsinki and Tallinn under Finnish flag.

Eckerö Line ferry routes

Eckerö Line operates mainly on the connection between Helsinki, the capital of Finland, and Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. Its cargo ship, MS Finbo Cargo, also serves routes between Vuosaari (eastern Helsinki) and Muuga (cargo harbor at the port of Tallinn).

Eckerö Line special amenities & facilities

The large Eckerö Line cruiseferry MS Finlandia has a capacity of more than 2,000 passengers and over 600 vehicles.

Thanks to Eckerö Line’s modern facilities, you can enjoy maximum comfort and a wide range of services on board. With a sophisticated buffet restaurant and a bistro-cafeteria, 4 bars and a pub, sun terraces, conference facilities, children’s play areas, and 2 shops, the Eckerö Line experience is definitely something special. And, if you are looking for a relaxing way to travel, including snacks and refreshments, there is also the Lounge and the Captain’s Lounge.

As for accommodation, there are cabins available on Eckerö Line vessels. All cabins have bunk beds for up to 4 passengers, a bathroom with separate toilet and shower. There are outside cabins with a sea view, and inside cabins available. On MS Finlandia, there are also 2-person inside cabins. All cabin categories can be booked online. Alternatively, you can just find a seat at the spacious seating space.

MS Finlandia meets all specifications for people with disabilities, e.g. reduced mobility. The company provides an assistance service during all boarding stages (terminals, luggage and on board). There are also special cabins for people with reduced mobility.

On Eckerö Line vessels, pets can travel free of charge, but must be included in the booking beforehand.

• Small pets in cages or carry bags can be brought to the passenger premises, except for the restaurant and bar areas, the Conference Center, and the Lounge.
• Larger pets can travel in your car (at the car deck) or in a special pet cabin that has to be booked separately. Bear in mind that pet-cabin availability is limited, so it’s best to book in advance.

There is also a sandbox for dogs on an outside deck.
