Where to take the ferry to La Graciosa from Lanzarote

Ferries to La Graciosa normally set sail from the port of Órzola, which is on the northern tip of Lanzarote. The seaside village is approximately 35 km from the capital town of Arrecife and Lanzarote Airport.

Although Órzola is compact, it provides essential services for travelers, including cafés, seafood restaurants, mini-markets, public parking, and ticket offices for ferry companies.

How to get to the port in Órzola

Getting to the northern port of Órzola is simple and you have several transport options:

  • From Arrecife, the most direct bus route is with line 9, which takes just under 1 hr to reach Órzola and stops at Costa Teguise and other towns along the way.
  • If you are coming from the airport, the easiest way is to take buses 162D or 23 to Arrecife and from there continue with line 9. The entire journey takes around 1.5 hr.
  • By car, you can reach Órzola via the LZ-1 road along Lanzarote’s east coast. There is free public parking near the port, so you can leave your car behind as La Graciosa is largely car-free.
  • You can also reach the port by taxi from all across Lanzarote. A ride from Arrecife or Costa Teguise takes about 30-35 min, while the trip from Playa Blanca takes approximately 45-50 min.

Where does the ferry arrive in La Graciosa?

Ferries from Lanzarote normally arrive at the port of Caleta de Sebo in La Graciosa, on the southeast side of the island. Since La Graciosa has no paved roads, you can explore the island on foot, by bicycle, or in licensed 4x4 taxis, which you can arrange directly at the port.
