Where to take the ferry from Lanzarote to Fuerteventura

Ferries to Fuerteventura depart from the port of Playa Blanca, on the southern tip of Lanzarote. The port is located in the town of Playa Blanca, around 36 km from Arrecife and 30 km from César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport.

How to get to the port of Playa Blanca (Lanzarote)

If you're staying in Playa Blanca, you can easily reach the port on foot, by taxi or by bus. From other parts of Lanzarote, these are the main options:

• From Arrecife: bus lines 6, 60 and 62 connect the capital with Playa Blanca. The journey takes around 1 hr. By car, it takes about 40 min via the LZ-2 road.
• From Lanzarote Airport: bus 161 connects the airport with Playa Blanca and stops near the ferry port. The journey takes around 55 min. By car or taxi, allow about 30-35 min.
• From Puerto del Carmen: you can also take bus 161 towards Playa Blanca.

Where does the ferry arrive in Fuerteventura?

Ferries from Lanzarote arrive at the port of Corralejo, on the northern tip of Fuerteventura. The port is right in town, so you can reach central Corralejo on foot in just a few minutes, as well as the seafront, restaurants, shops, and some of the town's beaches.

Note: keep in mind that the port of Corralejo is not the same as the port of Puerto del Rosario, Fuerteventura's capital, which is located around 26 km further south.

How to get around Fuerteventura from the port of Corralejo

From the port of Corralejo, you can continue your journey around Fuerteventura by bus, taxi or car:

• Bus 6 connects Corralejo with Puerto del Rosario, with several departures throughout the day.
