About the role

In order to ensure our website’s content keeps up to date with all the new routes we are covering, we are looking for someone to support with content translation in french. High-quality, well crafted content has been a strong part of our path to success and it is something we really value and are passionate about. We are the ferry expert companion for all of our travellers and we really want to provide them with useful information, tips and ideas!

So we want a person responsible to translate written content from english/greek to french!

Who are we looking for

We are open to applications from a very wide variety of applicants with no specific qualifications or experience required. Εssential to this role are the following: 

  • Your first language is french or you can write as if it was,  
  • You are passionate about writing engaging content, 
  • You are interested in making sure your content is read by many, 
  • You are keen to improve the structure of your writing to ensuring it is optimised for search engine parsing (SEO), 
  • You are autonomous in organising your own work, able to stick to your own deadlines and communicate actively when there is an issue.

Working arrangements

Firstly, we will ask for a first text so that we can have a final decision on hiring. We work with content generators according to “packages” (ad hoc type of cooperation) of about 20 texts to be translated. 

We provide a fixed price for this package, along with a deadline which we agree together with you. You are provided with an initial training concerning the types of text that you are working on and how these can be optimised. 

After generating 3 texts, we have a “check-in” session with you providing you with feedback to take into account for the further texts.

Trainings and check-ins can happen in person if you are based in Athens, or over video-call otherwise. You are also welcome to work from our offices if preferred, or from your own location.
