A daytrip in islands near Athens

In two hours you can feel the island breeze ...

The best and easiest day- or few days trip around Athens is to visit the islands of the Saronic Gulf, i.e. Aegina, Hydra, Spetses, Poros, and Agistri! They are too close to Athens to miss and the ferry schedules are really dense (many ferries per day), facilitating your transfer to these beautiful islands!

What to do in a daytrip?

You can choose between Hydra, Poros, Spetses, and Aegina, to enjoy a full day in islands. Strolling or cycling around, the sun and the sea breeze, swimming, tasting delicious foods are only some of the things that one can do in the islands of the Saronic… Or you may try the following ideas:

Poros: Visit the narrow strip of sea that separates the island of Poros from the Peloponesse. There you will find one of the most beautiful lemon-tree forests in Greece and you will enjoy a magnificent view

Spetses: Bike in between blossomed bougainvillea, eating fish in a nice tavern by the sea and having your dessert at Dapia!

Aegina: Visit the temple of the ancient goddess Athina, stroll around the beautiful alleys of the old city and enjoy coffee and lunch near the port!

Hydra: The noblest island in the Saronic Gulf is ideal for hanging out. You will start your walk from the port, continue to the large clock and the Marine Museum. Stroll around the picturesque alleys and squares. You can have a delicious lunch at the port and enjoy the sunset in Hydronetta!
