Where to take the ferry from Ancona to Zadar?

Ferries to Zadar depart from the Nazario Sauro Quay at the Port of Ancona.

The port is located in the city centre, just 2 km from Ancona railway station. Bus routes 12 and 20 connect the station with the New Maritime Terminal in around 10 min, and travel is free if you show your ferry ticket. A shuttle bus is also available from the terminal to the passenger pier.

How to get to the port of Ancona

• On foot: if you're staying in the city centre, the port is within easy walking distance. Depending on your location, it takes around 15-30 min to reach the ferry terminal.
• By car: the A14 motorway connects Ancona with major cities across Italy. Once you reach the city, simply follow the signs to the port. Car parks are available near the terminal if you prefer to leave your vehicle before boarding.
• By bus: local Conerobus services connect various parts of the city with the port. The most convenient routes include 1, 12 and 20.
• By train: Ancona Centrale railway station has regular connections with major Italian cities, including Rome, Milan and Bologna. The port is around 2 km away and can be reached by bus or by taxi in approximately 10 min.
• By plane: the nearest airport is Ancona Falconara Airport (Raffaello Sanzio), located about 15 km from the port. The journey takes around 20 min by car or taxi.
