Where to take the ferry from Dénia to Majorca
You can travel by ferry to Mallorca from the port of Dénia. The city is located in the southeast of Spain, between Valencia (about 100 km) and Alicante (about 90 km). Both Valencia and Alicante have international airports.
The port has a passenger terminal (Estación Marítima de Dénia) that is managed by Baleària. The building has information desks, a waiting area and a small play area for kids. You can also find bars and restaurants with a great view of Dénia's waterfront.
How to get to the port of Dénia?
If you’re already in Dénia city center, you can reach the port with a 10 to 20 minute walk, depending on your location. There is also a solar-powered boat (La Panseta) that takes you from the center to the ferry terminal for free.
- By car: from Valencia or Alicante you can reach Dénia via AP-7 (may include tolls) or N-332. Once in Dénia, follow signs for Puerto (port) or Baleària. Parking is available near the port (we suggest you to arrive early in summer to easily get a spot).
- By bus: Dénia is connected by bus with Valencia, Alicante, and many Costa Blanca towns (sometimes with a transfer, depending on the route). Buses usually arrive at the Dénia bus station, a short walk or taxi ride from the port.
- By taxi: quick and convenient from the city center and bus station. You can also book taxis/private transfers from nearby towns (e.g., Jávea/Xàbia, Calpe, Benidorm).
- By plane: the nearest airports are Alicante (ALC) and Valencia (VLC), both about 1 to 1.5 hr away. From the airport, you can reach the port by car rental, taxi/private transfer, or bus (often with a connection).
Where does the ferry arrive in Mallorca?
The ferry from Dénia to Mallorca only travels to the port of Palma, the Mallorca’s main port. It’s centrally located on the island’s west coast, right across from Palma’s charming Old Town.
