Where to take the ferry from Almería to Ghazaouet

You can catch the ferry to Ghazaouet from the port of Almería, specifically from Muelle de Levante, which is used for international ferry connections. The port is located very close to the city center, right by Parque Nicolás Salmerón and the seafront promenade, making it easy to access on foot or by vehicle. The port is about 1 km from Almería’s city center.

How to get to the port of Almeria

• By car: access the port via the AL-12 or N-340 roads. Follow signs to “Puerto de Almería” and then to Muelle de Levante. Parking is available near the passenger terminal.
• By taxi: taxis are readily available throughout the city. The journey takes about 5 min from the center.
• By bus: several local buses stop near the port area. From the main bus and train station, it’s about a 15-min walk or a short taxi ride.
• On foot: the port is within easy walking distance (under 10 min) from central Almeria.

Where does the ferry arrive in Ghazaouet?

Ferries from Almería arrive at the port of Ghazaouet (Route du Phare), located in northwestern Algeria, close to the Moroccan border. The port is situated near the town center, allowing easy access to local amenities such as cafés, small shops, and basic services within walking distance.
